Nunawading Kitchen Remodel – Timber & Charcoal Contemporary Design
This Nunawading kitchen was designed as a statement piece for a recently purchased 1990s home. The homeowners wanted warmth and texture, moving away from all-white trends. Lower cabinets are finished in natural timber-grain laminate with integrated finger-pull handles. Overhead cabinets are dark matte charcoal, creating a strong two-tone contrast. The benchtop is marble-look engineered stone in soft white with grey veining. The standout is an illuminated glass display cabinet built into the end of the overhead run, with internal LED lighting and glass shelves for decorative items. The splashback is a clean white panel that lets the cabinetry be the visual focus. An integrated cooktop and rangehood sit flush. LED strip lighting runs under all overheads. The floor is timber-look vinyl plank.
