Budget Kitchen Renovation Mitcham – Practical & Stylish Design

A dated kitchen in Mitcham received a practical renovation that maximised the budget by keeping the existing L-shaped layout. Retaining the layout meant no plumbing or electrical relocation, saving approximately $8,000 in trade costs. New white Shaker-profile cabinets with brushed nickel handles replaced the old melamine doors. Dark reconstituted stone benchtops provide a durable work surface with good contrast. The splashback is classic white subway tile in brick-bond pattern. Glass-front display cabinets on two upper corners add a decorative touch and break up the run of solid doors. A new built-in oven and ceramic cooktop were fitted, along with a stainless steel rangehood. The floor was retiled in a light porcelain to brighten the space.

Scope of Work:

“We did not have the budget for a full structural remodel but VICO showed us how to get a completely new look by keeping the layout. The dark benchtops and subway tiles look fantastic. Could not be happier with the value.”
