Rowville Kitchen Renovation – Compact L-Shaped Modern Design

A compact L-shaped kitchen in Rowville was given a full makeover focused on warmth and function. The old kitchen had flat-panel laminate doors, worn Formica benchtops and a single fluorescent tube. The new design uses white Shaker-profile doors with cup pull handles for a timeless look. Solid timber benchtops in a rich walnut tone add warmth against the white cabinetry. The splashback is white subway tile laid in a vertical stack pattern for a modern twist on a classic format. A 900mm freestanding gas cooktop and oven sit between the two arms of the L, with a rangehood concealed behind a matching cabinet panel. The existing timber floorboards were sanded and refinished to complement the benchtop tone. Overhead cabinets and open shelving provide a mix of concealed and display storage.

Scope of Work:

“We cook, eat, do homework and host friends all at the island now. Opening up the ceiling beams was VICO’s suggestion and it completely made the room. Best decision we made.”
