Overview
A family bathroom in Ferntree Gully renovated to give both partners their own basin while upgrading the shower to a spacious walk-in design. The old room had a single pedestal basin and a shower-over-bath. The new layout features a dark floating vanity with two white vessel basins and wall-mounted chrome mixers. The shower is the highlight, with a full mosaic tile feature wall in neutral tones behind the rain shower head, bordered by large-format matching tiles on the remaining walls. A linear floor drain runs along the shower entry, eliminating the need for a step or hob. The single fixed glass panel keeps sight lines clean, and the floor tiles are a light neutral porcelain that runs continuously from the main bathroom floor into the shower for a seamless look.
Completed in 4 weeks. The dual basins eliminated the morning routine bottleneck, and the mosaic tile feature adds visual interest without overwhelming the space.
